I am Jonas Edmondson, a Bronx raised movie director who’s life work revolves around music and film.

I have a BFA in Cinema studies from Purchase College while also traveling the world from places like Oslo, Norway to Perth, Australia where I studied and made films in collaboration with Edith Cowan University.

Telling stories is in my DNA, creative energy is something that I am always trying to bring forward with every project I take on and this website is here to give people an opportunity to see my work and even be apart of it.

Pushing the boundaries

I have all of the nerve and motivation to push the boundaries of film from new and exiting perspectives that enables me and others to make unique art that not only stands out but also makes a memorable impact.

Being an artist is a labor that can only be truly followed if its accompanied by love. Ever since I was a kid I was always making films and telling stories and i’ve loved it so much so that it has gotten me to where I am today as an ambitious independent film maker in New York City.

The Intervention is a jaw droppingly hilarious Short film set to go into production January 2025 about two people that have an intervention for their troubled friend James that ends up leading to a jaw droppingly hilarious unfolding of events that results in his turbulent romantic life taking center stage while the story explores the comically messy reality of romance in the modern day.
